Things That Continue Not to Happen

Here are some things that are still not happening. Their very not happening is preventing me from having other, more fun things happen.

• This Old House continues not to sell itself.  It clearly does not understand the importance of its duties.  Also not on my side are the pirates, who in the last week have left a "For Rent" sign and a used entertainment center on their curb right next to our beautiful and very for-sale house.

• The Evil Work Project continues not to end or become easier with which to deal. Right now we are having daily meetings to discuss things that have been discussed in detail at least ten thousand times before. My career advisor, Gertrude Groundhog, tells me this is to be expected.

• The little angel's teeth continue not to break the surface of her gums, therefore causing her excessive pain and drooling.  She also continues not to crawl, but we don't really care about that.  She's still awfully cute and really the least of my current problems.

• My Christmas gifts continue not to get bought or wrapped.  So much for cute wrapping themes this year, also.  As for the Christmas cards...don't even ask about them. They are still partying in another state.

Once some of these things in my life stop NOT happening, I'll have some new news to report.  Fa la la la la la la la la
